Leg One of the Jouney Sept 17-18

We left home around 7:30 on Wednesday Sept.17th and headed for Ft Wayne. We traveled through Chicago, Frankfort, Germany, and ended up in Tele Aviv on Thursday afternoon about about 3:30 The taxi ride for, the airport to the hotel was like a combination of New Mexico and Calumet. The streets were lined with shops many of which were shabby. The city is not the cleanest in the world, it reminded me of Amsterdam. Our hotel was about two blocks from the Mediterranian so we took a nice walk along the promenade. (insert picture) We had bread from an open cafe' near the beach. Later in the evening I took a walk anong the beach.
