Do you remember summer?

Ah summer! This year, 2011, summer seemed to buzz by pretty fast. We had the usual activities, Water skiing, boating, swimming, bike riding, site seeing, softball, family gatherings cook outs, the works.

Clarice seems to be the official boat driver this summer for all the inner tube pulling.

Clarice and Adelphia both observed that my cousin Lloyd used to do this for hours. Now they realize what a gift that was.

Skyler and Trae waiting for their turn on the tube.

Elisea seems to be asking when is it my turn to drive aunt Clarice?

Okay I'll just keep mommy company.

Cousins and Brothers getting ready for the big run.

Plenty of swimming!!

As a matter of fact we were our on the lake with someone almost every weekend all summer.

We really enjoy sunsets down at the lake. We probably have 500 sunset pictures.

Adelphia and her kids met Karen and me for lunch several times during the summer. There is a nice park a couple of miles from my office and we usually try to get there at least a few times each year. Elisea seems to be getting the hang of it and is quite nimble but still a little cautious.

Elizabeth and Ethan look right at home on the climbing equipment.

It always helps to have a partner on some of these adventures.

The first part of the summer was really rainy and some what cool. By mid summer things cleared up pretty well so I was able to drive my old grey Pontiac convertible to work, taking back roads, provided plenty of opportunities for interesting sun rises.

We went to several Art Festivals during the summer. The one at Michigan City was a bit of a rainy event, but it eventually cleared up and we did a nice walk along the beach and out to the lighthouse.

This is Karen and our friend Pam heading out to the bitter end.

One of Karen's favorite things is going to see light houses.

Even near the end of the summer we got out onto the lake just to relax and enjoy the sun.

Elizabeth's birthday party was a nice time to be with family.

They have a great place for the kids to play.

I think I can be patient as long as you hurry.

Pink and purple are favorite colors that she reminds us need to be always be included in any good quality party.

Throughout the summer I played softball on our church league team. We had an average season, but won the year end tournament. It is common for us to have an end of the year cook out.

This years event was at our friends Noel's and Angie's house.

Near the very end of summer my Nephew Brandon and his family came over for a visit and they got to do some tubing. Even though is was a bit cool, they enjoyed the day.

Sometimes Clarice can take advantage of show offs.

It must be someone else's turn anyway.

All in all it was a really good summer.
