Mid September 2010

Summer is about over. Less boats on the lake and more often than not those who are out boating are dressed a bit warmer than just a couple of weeks earlier. The sun angle is lower and the photos reflect the coming of fall's appearance. The most recent water ski run reminded me that I might want to dig out the old wetsuit

Here is Jim out for a kayak run across the lake.

A late afternoon boat ride with a nice sunset lighting effect gives a warm glow to Karen and our young friend Jillian.

Sunsets are one of Karen's favorite photo subjects.

At the beginning of September we went to our Friends the Kintigh's for a Sunday afternoon. We got rewarded after the seven mile walk with a trip to Dairy Queen. At least we could say we stayed neutral.

Karen and I have been trying to keep up our bike riding which sometimes means we head out when there is a bit of a risk of getting rained on before we get home. The pictures are nice though.

Last weekend all the folks on our lane got together for a carry-in lunch

Plenty of food and a pleasant visit.

After a big meal and a cruise on the lake we went for a late afternoon bike ride out on some of the county roads east of our place.

Just in the past two week the crops have turned from green to dry brown.

Back at our place Karen got a nice shot of the channel and lake from our deck.
