Lake stuff, June '09

This year we had a pretty cool and rainy spring. Getting boating equipment and piers into the lake has not even been accomplished completely as of this post. Our ski boat has been sort of operational for about three weeks. The Pontoon boat about two weeks, and the sail boat has not even been pulled out of storage.

None of our early ski outings generated any photo opportunities other than the famous after skiing breakfast at Karen’s, which is always the highlight of the day. Perhaps July will produce some of those incredible action shots.

Last week, June 22, started out as a real scorcher with temperatures in the upper 80’s and mid 90’s with high humidity. Adelphia, Andrew and the kids came over to the lake in the middle of the week and spent the night. They played in the lake in the afternoon and then we went out on the pontoon boat for a swim in the evening. It was still hot out so everyone including Elisea enjoyed the water.

Elizabeth and Grandpa just chillin' Elisea is going to be a real water bug too.

Ethan completes one of his famous cannon ball dives

Did you see that? I can do that too, unless someone stops me!

One final group picture at the end of a nice evening swim.

Last weekend, June 27-28, we got in a pretty good ski run early, had a great breakfast and then went over to Blake’s to put their shore station and boat in. On Sunday we went out on the pontoon with Blake, Apryl and the boys for the afternoon and then had a great meal on the grill that Apryl put together.

Skyler and Trae at the end of the day.
