Back to Narabeen October 17

Oct 17

Friday was a travel day. We started fairly early heading from Port Douglas back to Cairns and the airport. I took pictures of a sushi train in the airport that I thought my grandsons might enjoy seeing and a really strange light fixture that looked like the framework of a boat or kayak.

I got some fairly good pictures from the plane on the way showing the lay of the land.

As we approached Sydney we passed over the northern beaches which gave us a pretty good view of at area. You can see in the first picture below that there area is pretty full of inlet harbors with good access to the ocean. The second and third pictures show some of the northern beaches. As far as I can tell the beach at Narabeen where Clarice and Jon live is that section between the ends of the second and third engines. Their apartment is about a block form the beach.
We arrived in Sydney late in the afternoon. By the time we unpacked is was getting somewhat late. We got some thing around for the next day for the sailing adventure.

In the evening we looked at some of the pictures we had taken on the trip, since Clarice and Jon had not seen the Israel photos yet.
