Ouch!

I played softball last night and encountered 2nd base with the ring finger of my left hand. when I got up off the ground I noticed that the finger at the knuckle was bent toward the pinky at a 45 degree angle. One of the players on the team is a policeman and was willing to pull it out and straightened it out for me. Today it is pretty swollen. I know, I'm old enough to know better. By the way the ring has been on my finger for right at 40 years so no I am not planning to have it cut off. I like that finger.
