Australia Sydney October 9

Oct 9

We went down town Sydney a second time to see the Botanical Garden, the down town areas and to eventually have dinner with Jon and Clarice's friends Paul and Amber.

This time we drove rather than taking the ferry. We went across the bay bridge that we had seen earlier from the harbor. Once down town we walked through a section of the city and out to the Opera House site and into the Botanical Garden next to it.

There were some interesting trees Plants and animals in the Botanical garden and is was also interesting to see these things in such close proximity to the down town.

Toucans fly in flock like other birds, for that matter so do the large bats. Jon calls a flock of toucans a flock -a-2's

Sydney has its share of interesting architecture, like this little building in front of the Hospital and the church with my kind of signage, "Coffee with heart". They also have at least one impressive cathedral, several parks and grand old goverment buildings all right downtown.

We drove over to Harbourside on the the other side of town and walked around the harbor shops Maritime Museum saw several interesting fountains and plazas and had dinner in a nice restaraunt on the water front with the Jon and Clarice and their Australian friends Paul and Amber
